Household of Weirdos

Okayy. This is so stupid. I've become a lizard catcher.

My mum is really scared of lizards and i mean REALLY petrified of them. It doesn't matter if they're huge moniter lizards or just plain house geckos..she'll just scream when she sees them. Can't blame her la, everyone has his or her own strange phobias., but this is really too much!!

Recently (okay i mean abt 5 months ago), the lizards came. Maybe it was just one or two, so we didn't care so much. But I suppose if one was a male and the other a female, and they got to know each other, many things can happen within 5 months. The many things were probably baby lizards. So now, every now and then you'll hear my mum go, "Oooo!!" in the kitchen, and you'll know it's probably bcos one of the Gecko family has run out from its hidey-holes to say hi. It's quite funny really.

Until YESTERDAY, when my mother went to the DIY shop and bought a gecko trap. It's actually just a piece of flimsy cardboard with loads of glue on it. The guy says it's pre-baited, so i suppose it must have some insect pheromones or the likes on it...So what happens is that the lizard(s) get attracted and comes to investigate and when it steps on the glue, it gets stuck. It is so STUPID and so CRUEL..do mean to say that the thing is going to be stuck there for the rest of its life?? It will probably die of either starvation or ripping of its skin..both very cruel methods of death i find!! Anyway, the trap was set YESTERDAY and i only found out THIS MORNING, when my mum conveniently told me that if there shld be a lizard in the trap, I would be the one to dispose of it. What the hell?! It's not that I mind touching the lizard ( cos one crawled up my leg in pri school already..it's very cold), but the fact that I have to watch it SUFFER. Please la, show some humanity to the amphibian.

Lucky for me, there's been nothing in the trap except glue and air. I still can't believe how I'm spending the first few days of my holidays...catching lizards. What an amazing, fun thing to do! OKay I've been slacking quite a lot too, playing the scores Wai Sze lent me. So nice of her! Going out tmr with 2 buddies and may plan a little smth for friday. Still in a dilema abt the PlanetShakers church concert Cordelia's inviting me to....hmmm.
